    Each trimester class is worth .5 credit A and B parts of 2 trimester classes 2 tri classes can be tri’s 1 & 2, 1 & 3, or 2 & 3.

Total credits required is 27- You must pass 90% of your classes in order to graduate on time.

 4.0 credits required in English  4.0 credits required in Social Studies  ◦ ◦ ◦ 3.0 in Science 1.0 Physical Science 9 1.0 Chemistry 1.0 Biology

 3.0 in Math (quite a few different scenarios) ◦ 1.0 Geometry ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ 1.0 Algebra II or Intermediate Algebra And .5 Stats and .5 Algebra with Quadratics/Trig/etc.

Or 1.0 AP Statistics Or 1.0 Advanced Algebra w/Stats (new next year) Remember most 4 year colleges want at least Algebra II/Advanced Algebra

     1.0 Arts Choice .5 Physical Education I .5 Physical Education II .5 Health Remainder= electives to equal 27.0

 If you’re missing requirements see your counselor about getting scheduled into classes, or signing up for night school/ summer school

 ◦ ◦ ◦ GRAD testing is required as well.

Writing test from grade 9 Reading test coming up in spring of grade 10 Math test coming up in spring of grade 11 ◦ Need passing scores in all 3 subjects to earn a diploma

 All 10 th graders will take the PLAN test on October 10 th during a late start.

 No cost for testing.

    For those college-bound and workforce bound A Pre-ACT test- a powerful predictor of success on the ACT.

Looks at academic progress and is an early indicator of college readiness.

Areas tested:  English    Mathematics Reading Science

     Help you plan for life after high school.

Help with course selection for junior and senior year.

Show you the kinds of careers you may be good at.

Help you prepare for the ACT.

Increase likelihood of being contacted by colleges (if interested).

Think about AP classes if you’re planning on college after high school.

Earn college credit Exposure to college level work while in high school Help you build skills- useful across subject areas Less college drop-outs Don’t drop!

     4 years of English 2 years of World Language- minimum 3 years of Science, Math, and Social Studies ◦ ◦ More is better- especially based on your interests At least through Algebra II/Advanced Algebra Rigor! It matters more than G.P.A.
