One Member, One Vote
2015 AAUW CALIFORNIA ELECTION
One member, one vote
Since 2012, every member has the opportunity to vote in
the AAUW California election.
 No branch delegates to carry your vote
 No required convention attendance
 Voting period begins in mid-April
 Vote online or request a paper ballot
Every member has a vote!
Candidate Nominations
Candidates who submitted nominations by the December 10th
deadline:
 Are posted on our website
 Were printed in California PERSPECTIVE
 Appear in the order they submitted to the Nominating
Committee
Candidate Nominations
Additional nominations will be accepted by the Nominating
Committee until the first week of April
Nomination materials must be submitted electronically
to the Nominating Committee
 Will be posted to the website in the order they are
received

Voting Process
 Ballots will be prepared following April 4th
 On April 18, 2015 an email message or a postcard with
her/his personal voting access code will be sent to every
AAUW California member
 Online ballots can be reached through a link in the email or
on our website
 Members may request a paper ballot to mail
 Remember to allow enough time to receive your ballot
and return it by the deadline.

you are allowed.
However, you can still
proceed with the rest
of the ballot.

When you have
completed your
voting, you may
request a
confirmation.

your votes, enter
contact information
in the spaces
provided.
Click the Submit and
Review button or
the link.
Review Your Ballot
You can go back
over your ballot and
modify your votes,
make selections you
missed, or you can
cast your ballot if
you are satisfied
with your choices.
Click on either the
grey button or the link
for what you want to
do next.

If you decide to change your vote:
1. Click on a checked box to “uncheck” it
2. Check the box for your new vote
3. When you are finished you have the same option to modify
your votes again before you cast your ballot

Once you are satisfied with the selections you have made whether it’s the first time through or after modifying your
ballot - click the grey button (or the link) to Cast Ballot.

and can only

Reminders: Before the Election
 Make sure your email address is listed correctly in the AAUW
National Member Services Database (MSD)

consult your branch Membership Chair about how to do this if you have
questions
 Deadline for corrections to the ballot is 30 days prior to start
of voting
 Visit the AAUW CA website www.aauw-ca.org to inform
yourself about the candidates – go to the Elections &
Nominations section
Reminders: During the Voting Period
 Voting will be open until May 8, 2015
 If you choose to request a paper ballot, it is your
responsibility to make sure your voted ballot is delivered
to Vote-Now by May 8th
 Reminder emails will be sent regularly until your voting
access code has been used

Be sure to check your “spam” folder if you haven’t received your code
 Winning candidates will be notified as soon as voting ends
