• In the Text group, click the Object button
• Click the Create from file option button, then
click the Browse button
• Navigate to the folder containing your file, then
click the OK button
• Make sure the Link check box is not selected,
then click the OK button

option button, click the Hyperlink to list arrow, then
click Other PowerPoint Presentation to open the
Hyperlink to Other PowerPoint Presentation dialog box
• Select the presentation to which you want to jump,
then click the OK button
• Click the OK button in the Action Settings dialog box
• Resize and reposition the action button icon as desired

Sharing and Collaborating

• An online meeting is a method of sharing and
exchanging information with people at different
locations in real time (the actual time during
which an event takes place), as if all the
participants were together in the same room
• To hold an online meeting, you can use Windows
Meeting Space, a program that manages file
sharing and online meetings

Using the Information
Rights Manager

• Open the presentation you want to share
• Click the Office Button, point to “Prepare”, point to “Restrict
Permissions” (if this doesn’t appear on your computer, you can’t
use the IRM), then click “Do Not Distribute”; the Permissions
dialog box opens
• Select the “Restrict permission to this document” check box, then
select the desired access level that you want for each user to
whom you plan to send the presentation. Permission levels are:
– Read (users can only read the presentation but not edit, print, or copy it),
– Change (users can read, modify, and save the new version of the
presentation), or
– Full Control (users have full rights to do anything the author can do)
