MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LATVIA
JASPERS Activities
 JASPERS consultants are reviewing the following Cohesion
Fund project applications: E22 section Riga bypass – Koknese,
E22 section Ludza – Terehova, Construction of secondary rail
track in section Riga-Krustpils and Development of
infrastructure in Krievu sala for relocation of port operations
away from city centre.
 In 2008 it is planned to submit for review to JASPERS experts
the project application for reconstruction of Riga railway
network, if a decision to finance it from the Cohesion Fund
would be adopted
 In 2008 it is planned to use the assistance of the JASPERS
experts to draft the terms of reference for experts of the Mobility
Plan in the Greater Riga Area.
