Fragments
• Sentence- a word group that contains a subject and a
verb and that expresses a complete thought
• Begins with a capital letter and ends with a period, a
question mark, or an exclamation mark

Sentence fragment- a word group that looks like a
sentence but does not have both a subject and a verb and
does not express a complete thought

Hint: To find the subject, ask yourself who or what is doing
something or about whom or what is being said
Ex: My best friend sits next to me in science class.

strip about a day at school. In each panel you must have a
picture and one of each type of sentence.
