AND ACTIVITIES
Study each of the dialogues below :

A : I’ve looked there but I didn’t

Note :
• Be going to is used when we
have already decided to do
something.
• Will is used when we decide to
do something at the time of
speaking.
Examples :
• Jack will finish his work tomorrow.
• Anna will not be here next week.
• Anna won’t be here next week.
• Will you come to my house tonight.
• What will you do this month?

We can also use the present
continuous tense ( be + ing form ) to
talk about future activities or events.
Examples :
- My garage looks dirty. I am cleaning
it next Sunday.
- We feel tired of work. We are going
on holiday next week.
The using of “shall”
Example :
- I shall make a glass of tea.
- We shall be glad see you again.
Adverb of Time :
Tomorrow, this evening, next
week, next month, next year,
etc.

EXPRESSING THE FUTURE IN TIME
CLAUSE
Examples :
• When Bob comes, we will see him.
• She is going to finish her work before
she leaves.
• I will eat dinner after I have finished
my work.
• I’ll wait here until they come.
• The taxi will arrive soon. As soon as
it
arrives, we’ll be able to leave for
the airport.
Note :
A time clause begins such
words as when, before, after,
as soon as, until, while and
include a subject and a verb.
