SCOPE
• The Service provider shall furnish on a continuous 24-hour basis for the defined period
with fully trained (as defined in paragraph 8 of this document) male and female
uniformed Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) registered security
officers. The Service provider shall be required to provide personnel with PSIRA
Grades C for the various tasks required by this project. The duties of the supplier’s
officers shall be those specified herein.
• Shifts to be covered and shift times:
• Morning shift:
06:00 – 18:00
• Night shift:
18:00 – 06:00
• The security services shall be required at the Majuba Power Station Project Offices and
at various sites as per the project plan. In addition to structural buildings and
construction yards requiring security services the construction of the physical railway
line as well as the associated structures.
• Further, the Service Provider shall furnish Eskom Holding SOC Ltd (ESKOM) with one
site supervisor performing site inspections during dayshift and night shift,(weekdays and
supervisor to be on standby on weekends and holidays) respectively. The site
supervisor shall be duly responsible for the supervision of the security officers assigned
to ESKOM.
