Legislative Branch (cont.) Impeachment Cases: 1. House impeaches with Majority Vote 2. Senate will try impeachment cases (hold the trial!!!) **Senate Convicts with 2/3 vote How A Bill Becomes A Law 1. A bill must be passed by both the House and Senate 2. If the governor vetoes a bill, the House and Senate can override the veto with a 3/5 vote. 5. In order for a bill to become a law, it must be passed by both the House and Senate.
