In order to make our championships successful we require a great many officials
The county track & field championships has 100 events !!
Helping Officials...
One simple thing is to wear your numbers correctly
One on the front and one on the back of your vest (except High Jump and Pole Vault)
They are pinned securely so that when you compete a number does not flap, bend or
come off. Therefore: 4 pins.
Why on the back?
So spectators can identify you more easily
So judges can still record your number when you have gone through the finish
Often finishes are very close and thus you have to turn and face the judges after
running through the finish
But we are fortunate as we use :

Championships – therefore athletes can represent either their school or their club.
