Successful “Swing for Scholarship” Golf
Tournament yielded close to $30,000;
Implementation of the IDEA Factory in
collaboration with Belk Library
Host for Jordanian school administrator who
spent 10 days with Watauga schools and the
RCOE;
Assistance with visit of 20 Egyptian educators
who visited ASU and the state.

Content “power” standards be developed for
each licensure area; must reflect expected
candidate learning outcomes and be aligned with
NC K-12 Standard Course of Study and
standards of appropriate national professional
associations;
A rubric will be developed by McREL that
institutions will use to assess candidates for
licensure purposes; candidates will be expected

Evidence, available electronically, that they meet
the standards; cvandidate’s rating on the rubric
will be included on the licensure form.
Annual review of electronic evidences accepted
on candidates by the institution; reviews to be
carried out by DPI;
IHE Performance Report will include data from

used by institutions as evidence of candidate
knowledge, skills, and dispositions; should
include 21st Century measures of basic skills
rather than PRAXIS I exams.

graduates; to be expanded to include
performance of candidates in K-12 c
classrooms as determined by ratings on the
