 PSHE lessons introduce site and WEX
process to students
 All students given individual login code to
keep secure

Student Guide to Veryan site
 The
School website will contain a
section for Year 10 Work Experience
 You
can view or download letters,
forms and PowerPoints
 The
Student Guide PowerPoint will
be used in PSHE to introduce the
site
Veryan WebView is an Internet based system that allows you to view
information about work experience jobs. It’s a very easy system to use
and these instructions will help you to get familiar with it.
Getting started
 You’ll need a computer with an Internet
connection and Internet browser software such
as ‘Microsoft Internet Explorer’
 This will allow you to search and use the
system from any computer so you can access
choices from home
 Open the browser and go to
http://suffolk.learnaboutwork.org/


College students: you should select a
placement that is connected with your
course e.g. if you are on YA Hairdressing
then opt for a salon – you may already
have a placement in mind.
CHOICES FORM: KEY POINTS

Choose 3 placements and write the correct information
in the boxes

Only apply for a school or nursery place if you have a
genuine interest in childcare

Do not apply for a place in a school you have attended
as a pupil

Make sure you can travel to the placements you choose

Please ask your parents to complete the bottom
of the form

workplace in terms of health and safety

students who have not got a placement

Parental consent form with space for any
medical details relevant to being at work
 Deadline for return of Consent form to
your Form tutor – Monday 31st January
 You write application letter and CV in
PSHE classes
 Follow up with telephone call to arrange
interview during Easter holidays
