• Save this file as a template – remember
where you save it
• To create new PowerPoint presentation
from scratch, save this file as a new
document
• To bring old PowerPoint presentations into
the newly designed template, follow the
next set of instructions

Template Instructions
To pull old files into a new template (3 ways):
1. Home > New Slide > Reuse Slides > Browse and select
slides
2. From old presentation Select or Select All > Copy > Paste
3. Cascade windows, drag files into new document
Once files have been imported/copied:

Start with the first file (several steps for each type of
slide)

Slide Design > Browse > Select Template (which you
saved) > Apply to all slides (or selected slide)
Slide Layout > Select appropriate slide ‘shell’ >Reapply
