DID YOU KNOW AN HLC SELF-STUDY TEAM WAS
COMING?
November 7 – 9, 2011
ARE YOU AWARE OF HOW THE INSTITUTIONAL
ACCREDITATION PROCESS WORKS?
PEAQ (Program to Evaluate and Advance Quality) employs a five-step comprehensive
evaluation process to determine continued accredited status.
1. The institution engages in a self study process and prepares a report of its findings.
2. The Commission sends an evaluation team of Consultant-Evaluators to conduct a
comprehensive visit for continued accreditation and to write a report containing
the team’s recommendations.
3. The documents relating to the visit are reviewed by a Readers Panel or a Review
Committee.
4. The IAC takes action on the Readers Panel’s recommendation.
5. The Board of Trustees validates the work of IAC or a Review Committee, finalizing
the action.
HAVE YOU READ YOUR INSTITUTIONAL SELFSTUDY?
An email was sent to all employees on Thursday, March 10 with a link to the draft.
http://www.uaccm.edu/employee/Reports/Reports.htm Hard copies were
available at the Family Feud event on March 10 or upon request. Employees were
asked to read the Self-Study and send comments to N. Berry and L. Zambrano by
Friday, March 18, 2011.
The final draft will be posted on the employee page of the UACCM web site using
the same address as above.
