development sector for more than 10 years,
including 7 years experience in the field of
disability with HI.
• I am attending this seminar to strengthen my
knowledge and skills for practical application of
Impact Assessment methodology and reinforce
my skills to support my team.

• Supported the external evaluators during mid term and final
evaluations and studies conducted under Physical Rehabilitation
Project;

• What are, according to you, HI’s challenges in terms of
impact assessment and evaluation?
• To measure what we made a difference through our project
• To measure the social change resulted after awareness activities
• Lack of specific / agreed tool for evaluating the rehabilitation
interventions
• Weakness in planning (including the baseline) evaluation and
impact measures
• Habilitation of a children with impairment takes long time to
measure impact, limitation project duration

• Defining what kind of impact we have to measure and those they
are more relevant;
• Specific tools and methodologies to conduct impact assessment;
• The key aspects to be considered for impact assessment for

physical rehabilitation services and other development projects.
