Mandated Reporting of Sexual Assault
by key personnel
“with significant responsibility for student life”
Why Mandated
Reporting?
In addition to complying with the law, there are other significant
benefits of the anonymous notification system.
When an assault occurs, we want survivors and those they tell
about their assault to know that there are 24-hr services
available to them.
UNCW wants to insure that students receive accurate and timely
information about the resources on-and off-campus for assault
survivors.
UNCW needs a clearer picture of sexual assault occurrences, both
on-campus and in our wider community.
