Add the two numbers together (without paying attention to
the signs), then the sum has the same sign as the sign of
the numbers added.
Adding two numbers with DIFFERENT signs…
Find the difference of the numbers (without paying attention
to the signs), then the sum has the same sign as the larger
number.
