INTERNIST
Interaction
Digestive System/Circulatory System
The digestive system and circulatory system interact since the digestive system
requires large amounts of blood to function.
Circulatory System/ Respiratory System
When the air enters the lungs, it travels to tiny air sacs called alveoli. In the
alveoli, oxygen diffuses into the blood stream through capillaries that surround
each alveoli. The newly produced blood then travels back towards the heart,
where it will then get pumped to the rest of the body.
Circulatory System/Nervous System
When your heart pumps, it produces a pressure in your arteries called blood
pressure. Your body helps calms down your blood pressure by communicating with
the brain.
INTERNIST(CONTINUE)
Your lungs absorb oxygen and release carbon dioxide so the cells get
the oxygen they need.
Your digestive system breaks down the food you eat into nutrients that
your body can absorb for food.
Your blood flow delivers oxygen and nutrience.
These are a list of doctors that deal directly with your bodyRespiratory, Circulatory, Digestive, Excretory, and Nervous.
INTERNIST (CONTINUE)
Respiratory- help with breathing issues.
Circulatory- helps with your blood flow.
Digestive- helps digest waste and food.
Excretory- helps eliminate waste.
Nervous- helps with all nerves in your body.
SURGEON
Melanoma Surgery and Amputation are surgeries that can be
performed.
Melanoma on the skin
Flesh Eating Bacteria on the skin
HISTORY OF THE SURGERIES
The first time Melanoma surgery occurred was in 1787 by John Hunter.
The first time Amputation occurred was during the time period ancient
Greek and Rome. The group that did the first procedure was Greeks
and Romans.
WHY EACH SURGERY IS PERFORMED
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SURGERIES ARE NOT
PERFORMED
Melanoma- Most dangerous type of skin cancer and causes 77% of
skin cancer deaths. If Melanoma is not treated it can spread to other
organs/organ systems and they can become cancerous.
Amputation- This procedure is performed because it keeps the Flesh
Eating Bacteria from spreading. If Amputation is not performed the
Flesh Eating Bacteria will be spread to different areas causing organs
to fail.
