Non-Canadians should also check with Canadian Immigration to ensure that they will maintain their visa or permanent resident status while outside of Canada.

K W A N T L E N I N T E R N A T I O N A L P R O G R A M S  Program is estimated to cost $2100 not including flight and tuition and personal expenses.

 A deposit of $250 will be required at the time of application and is non-refundable.

 The outstanding amount owing will be due at the same time as the rest of your regular course fees. This date will be posted at: › http://www.kwantlen.ca/registration/dates.html  A minimum of 11 students will be required for the program to go ahead. If the program is cancelled due to attendance, your $250 will be refunded.

K W A N T L E N I N T E R N A T I O N A L P R O G R A M S     Students will need to fill out an application form and hand it in to the International Programs and Exchanges Office with their $250 deposit Deposit cheques should be made out to Kwantlen Polytechnic University with a note: Japanese Field School.

Application form consists of general information page and a statement of interest.

Expenses

P R O G R A M S  Meals We recommend you budget at least $15 to $ 20 for food a day on most days.

You can have breakfast at Tomoiki Seminar House. It has a dining area with a refrigerator, hot water for beverage, tea despenser and a toaster. A super market is just nearby for you to purchase food and beverage. Ryukoku University cafeterias offer a good selection of lunch items. You will be on your own for dinner.

We expect to have meals out in Tokyo.

Transportation (partial)

P R O G R A M S Some transportation cost for the field trips in Kyoto The fee includes:  A 7-day ordinary JR pass which covers the trips by the Bullet Train and most of the trips via the Japan Rail system from June 24 to the end of the Field School. Note: A return trip from the seminar house to Ryukoku University (30 minutes) costs about ¥ 500.

 A ¥3.000 prepaid card for the daily commute in Kyoto
