Things to remember:

Speech is a competition of performance and impression.

You are dressed in business formal attire. Act accordingly. A speech competition is not a basketball game.

When you are in a round, do not do anything that might distract from another’s performance: ◦ Keep your hands off of waterbottles, papers, clothing, etc.

◦ Watch the pieces in your round. Do not use the time to read, look over your piece, study your shoes, the ceiling, or anything other than the speaker’s face.

◦ Draw categories will stay to watch the other competitors who come after them in the round, unless the room does not accommodate them.

◦ Only excuse yourself if there’s an absolute emergency.

Speecher of the Week

 No Nominations

Mock Tournament

    When we arrive at a tournament – you will follow your captains to the common area.

Ben will make sure that Bridget (PA) and Leslie (Interp) have everyone’s codes and critique sheets.

Fill out your critique sheets and find your rooms.

Talk to a wall / warm up before first round. Today your round starts at 3:45
