• Prepare, Prepare, PREPARE (& be on time)!
• Read your binder! Information not covered today includes suggestions
for facilitating lessons, explanations for artist prints & vocabulary,
activities to promote discussion, how to handle disruptions, etc.
• Demonstrate skills (how to use supplies & tools). Docent training TBD.
• Idle time is deadly…keep them busy! For students who finish early,
have a back-up project in mind (sharpen pencils, thank you cards for
teachers or family, zentangle, clean-up helpers, books for silent reading, “Ideas &
Inspiration” link on website http://pinterest.com/fishbros/art-smart/ etc.)
• If really messy; simplify (cover tables, remove chairs, tinfoil
instead of paint trays, etc. Suggest kids decorate large T-shirt
beginning of year to store in teacher classroom for ArtSmart class).
