 Started in 2004 by Minnesota St., Mankato
and Normandale Community College
 MnSCU System-Wide contract
 Server and data is located at MSU
 Currently 8 campuses in the project

Collaboration Pros
 Shared server - reduce cost by $20,000+
 Ability to share documents among institutions.
 Cheaper license cost

 MSU takes care of server and backup
 May use additional features already installed
on the server.
Collaboration Cons
 Security issue in batch queue – addressed
and there’s a fix for it.
 Slight problem with ISRS integration – can be
fixed with scripts.
