Media Center Update All Library books are due back by Tuesday, May 26. All fines must be paid on or before the last day of school for this year. For seniors, all library books and fines must be cleared before graduation. Congratulations All-State Choral Students Courtney Howard, winner of the ART Drawing Contest in Davie County. Her picture represented the importance of school breakfast. Her drawing will be entered in the state contest and will be announced at the end of May. PTSO Cornhole Board Raffle • The DHS PTSO is selling $5.00 raffle tickets for a chance to win a complete set of “DC” cornhole boards with 4 orange beanbags and 4 black beanbags. Please see Ms. Bustle in Room E-8 to purchase a ticket. Please see a picture of the set on streaming announcements or see the set in Room E-8. • The winning raffle ticket will be drawn on May 15; just in time to make a great graduation gift or provide lots of fun outside this summer. DHS PTSO Cornhole Board Raffle • We also have a second complete cornhole board set for sale. RJ Reynolds won the Regional with a team score of 295, Greensboro Page finished 2nd with a 306 and Reagan finished 3rd with a 307. Mount Tabor also shot 307, but Reagan’s fifth card was better. Davie did not qualify for the team competition, but two individuals did qualify for the Regional event. Wesley Sink shot a 72 and claimed the runner-up medalist for the day and Colby Carter shot 79. Special Notes: - The top 3 teams qualified for the 4-A State Competition which will be held at Pinehurst #2 (5/11) and Pinehurst #4 (5/12) this year. As seen in the above team scores, our conference is a very tough conference. - The top 3 individual scores that weren’t on a qualifying team made it to the State competition as individuals. Wesley Sink claimed one of these 3 spots and will continue his season next week in Pinehurst. Congratulations to Avery Williford and George Mitchell For qualifying for the State 4A Track and Field Championship next Saturday at A&T University! Avery qualified in both the 110 meter and 300 meter hurdles, and George qualified in the triple jump.
