Restricting Access in Razor



Razor supports both NIS and NT password authentication
Razor and UNIX system passwords grant user access to your
databases
User defined roles and groups can be used to restrict access in
Razor’s configuration files
– Groups:

Assigned when creating Razor users names

Only one group per user (unlike Unix groups)

Group assignments are preceded by "+"
– Roles:

Manual creation of Roles file needed

One user can have many roles

Roles are preceded by "%"
