1. Style – the way a writer writes and uses language.

Style is related to diction – word choice and sentence patterns.

Style is related to imagery – these are images that are created in the reader’s mind when reading.

Imagery words and language that appeal to the five senses – sight, sound, smell, taste, touch.

These can be things like, simile, metaphor, personification, onomatopoeia, etc.

They may also be unique phrases and interesting ways that the author uses language.

1. Exotic setting. This story takes the reader into two distinct settings.

The distant future, where time travel is possible.

The distant past, when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Though each setting is not practical, Bradbury writes in a way that makes it vivid to the imagination and believable.
