Creating a book video with

Presented by Red Lead Press

Go to www.OneTrueMedia.com and either sign in or create a new
account.
Click on Create a New Montage in the left hand corner. It’s the big green button.
This will allow us to start creating a video.
At this point you are going to need your cover image and any other photos
or video that you would like to use. Click Select Files to upload the
photos from your computer. If you do not have a copy of your cover
image please ask your coordinator for one.
You can add as many photos as you need and then hit the orange
UPLOAD button. When the files are uploaded you will have the option to
upload more files or click Done. For Chuck Dowdle’s video we only
uploaded the three cover images.
Once you click Done the computer will automatically start running your
photos in a video format. I find it helpful to watch it run once and then
begin editing.
With Chuck Dowdle’s video we knew that we wanted it to be school
related so we went to “Apply or Remove a Style.”
There are a wide variety of styles that you can choose for free. Once you
find the style that works for you then click Done. The computer will
automatically apply the style to your photos.
At this point you can go to the “Edit, Sequence & Add Content” feature.
Once here you can add text slides and edit the sequence of the video. To
edit a slide you just click on it.
You can edit the text – changing the font, text size, color and background
color.
This is also where you can change the effects and transitions. There is a
lot out there so feel free to play. You can always undo it with a click of
the button.
Once your comfortable with your video look then you can go to “Choose
Music” to find the right song for your video.
The last step in the video creation process is choosing the Thumbnail (aka
the image that represents your video). This is actually a really important
step so don’t forget to do it. I recommend using your cover image as your
thumbnail but you can use any clip in your video.
Now we’re going to click on the “Share & Post Online.” You’re definitely
going to want to share via email with your publisher. You can also send
the video to Youtube, add it to your Facebook or MySpace page. You can
even include a link when you Twitter.
Thank you for joining us today.
We hope to be seeing your book
video creation soon.
