The Library is Collecting

new and gently used infant and children’s books, word find/puzzle books, coloring books, crayons and bubbles (for respiratory therapy) for Mary Washington & Stafford Hospitals. There will be a box available at the front entrance of the school for drop off.

Attention Rising Seniors and Juniors interested in being a mentor to incoming Freshmen next year? come to the Counseling Center and grab an application for Link Crew!

Be a leader to new students and upcoming 9th graders! The deadline to apply is May 1, 2015.

The SHS Music Department has been named a Virginia Blue Ribbon School for the 2014-2015 school year! This distinction is given to schools whose top ensembles in each area (choir, band, and orchestra) all receive Superior ratings at their respective District Assessment events. Of all the high schools in the state, only around 50 each year receive this prestigious distinction. This is the 5th time in the past 12 years that Stafford High School has earned this award.

Congratulations to Stafford High School’s medalists at the 51 st SkillsUSA-Virginia Championships Katherine Chase & Emily Kresho will represent Virginia in June at the SkillsUSA National Skills & Leadership Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr. Jett was presented with the Advisor of the Year award and will represent Virginia at the national level in 2016

Gifted Independent Studies Class for 2015 - 2016

Packets of information for next year's Gifted Independent Studies can be attained on Mrs. Purnell's Fusion GAP:Focus in the Files Section , Guidance Office, and Room E 102.

Attention All Seniors:

Jostens will be here Monday, April 27th to deliver caps and gowns . All seniors will be called down alphabetically throughout the day to pick up their cap and gown. Please make sure you have paid your senior dues by Friday in order to pick up your items.

Those of you applying for the Dorothy Wolf Scholarship need to submit your application to Mrs. Tobin in the counseling center before May 1st.

SENIORS 2015 If you need a copy of your immunization record for COLLEGE, a Job, or your Parent’s Records; you will need to request from the Nurses office before the end of the school year. There is a 24-hour processing time. The Nurse is not on duty during the summer and the immunization record is not readily available .

The JV Girl's Soccer Team

secured a victory on Friday at Brooke Point by a score of 1-0. Megan Robbins scored the game's only goal off an assist by Courtney Moulton. Sydney Smith posted her first shut out of the season. The well deserved victory was an aggressive, hard fought outing by the girls. Great play by Katherine Perry, Maddie Rowlette, Emily Albrecht, Tori Elliot, Taylor Galvin and the rest of the team!

The girls tennis team shut out Brooke Point 9 - 0 !

Josie Gresko, Amanda Smithson, Katelyn Dreeke , Alaina Patterson, Lia Constantine , Riley Wilkerson, Lexi Osleger , Kayley Welch, Elise Ryder , Emily Kresho, Ashleigh Hannah , Mary Stuart, Dayna Richards , and Renee Swager were victorious. Way to go ladies!

The March of Dimes Ten-Lap

will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00-11:00 at the Stadium. The cost to participate is ten dollars, 100 % of which will be donated to the March of Dimes. Please join the Key Club in this worthwhile cause.
