• Products we offer – Blade Path Sensors – Disc Cavity Sensors – Flashback Sensors – Exhaust Rakes © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Siemens Westinghouse Turbines • The Westinghouse W501 and the Siemens SGT6-5000 are basically the same turbine. The SGT6 is designation is the re-badging when Siemens bought out Westinghouse. • Because of relationship with Conax selling OEM parts to Siemens, parts for Siemens turbines have to be processed through Pinnacle Parts and Service Corp.
– Pinnacle is unknown to Siemens therefore is a good shield. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Siemens Blade Path Sensors • The base Siemens P/N is 897C316001 or 897C327001 for the replacement element. There are 16 Blade path sensors per turbine. – The Conax price and availability is better than that from Siemens direct and other sensor manufacturers are limited. One competitor, LPG may be out of business. – We do not have a product bulletin for these sensors. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies

Siemens Disc Cavity Sensors • The base Siemens P/N is 7863D60xxx or 7863D61xxx for the replacement element. The Disc Cavity sensors measure temperature at rows 2,3, & 4 totaling 6 sensors per turbine. – The Conax price and availability is better than that from Siemens direct and other sensor manufacturers are limited. One competitor, LPG may be out of business. – We do not have a product bulletin for these sensors. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies

Alstom Gas Turbines GT24 • Sites that have GT24 Turbines. – Iberdrola Energia Monterrey, S A De C V – Hermosillo – Central Termoeléctrica Presidente Juárez (Rosarito III & IV, BC) – Valle de Mexico IV (GT11N2) • We have limited information for older Alstom Turbines. We are supplying several sensors to them for new machines, however they assign new part numbers for every supplier. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Alstom Gas Turbines GT24 • The best approach for securing this business is to: – First get the OEM part number so we can check and see if we have the drawing files on record.
– See if we can get a failed unit to reverse engineer. • The next two slides will show examples of sensors we have done. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies

Sensors for Mitsubishi M501F Gas Turbines Exhaust rakes Blade Path sensors Disc Cavity Flashback sensors © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Mitsubishi M501F Gas Turbines • The sites that have Mitsubishi M501F Turbines are: – CFE Chihuahua -El Encino – Tuxpan III & IV – Tuxpan –V • The Mitsubishi M501F turbine was derived from the Westinghouse W501F turbine. – The names of the sensor locations are the same but the parts are unique to the Mitsubishi machine © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Mitsubishi M501F Gas Turbines • Mitsubishi assigns unique part numbers for every power plant. – The plant operators have this document and we need it for the specific product. – Like Alstom machines, we can always reverse engineer a used part. • The leadtime for replacement sensors is very long and the prices are very high. This puts us at a real advantage and RM in a position for more $$$. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Mitsubishi M501F Gas Turbines • It is well worth the effort to get the plant listing for the thermocouples. On the next page is an example of a typical Blade Path sensor used on these machines. – There are 16 Blade path sensors per machine. Your cost from us is around $1600.00 each. With your mark up you will still be cheaper and faster than the OEM can supply.
• The next page is an example of a typical Blade Path sensor © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies

Sensors for GE Frame 5 (500KAPPP) Gas Turbines • Sites that have GE 7FA’s – Iberdrola Energía La Laguna (Laguna II) • Depending on the age of the Turbine this may have been manufactured by Nuovo Pignone in Italy. – It is best to get the original equipment part number and we can supply the parts. Some parts may have the old GE numbers and some parts may have an RTO-xxxxx number from Nuovo Pignone. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Conax designed Sensors for Gas Turbine upgrades • We have designed many of our own sensor products that either improve the life of the sensor or makes the maintenance at the plant easier. These products are not supplied by the OEM, they can only be supplied by Conax. All of these product bulletins can be found on our FTTP site at: • http://ftp.conaxtechnologies.com/List_of_All_Files/ © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Conax designed Sensors for Gas Turbine upgrades • Bulletin 6064:
Highly Reliable Retrofit Exhaust Gas Sensors for older frame 5, 6, 7 & 9
– This allows the plant to upgrade to a newer sensor and cable system without having to change the radiation shields that can be costly to change. These parts apply to the GE 7EA and Frame 5 machines. • Bulletin 6054E:
Enhanced Exhaust Gas Thermocouples
– This is a spring load version to the exhaust gas sensors used on the GE 7FA. This makes the sensors more reliable and reduces the problem from the OEM with the tips breaking off. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
Conax designed Sensors for Gas Turbine upgrades • Bulletin 6067:
Retrofit Blade Path Thermocouple Kit for Siemens Westinghouse Turbines
– This allows the plant to upgrade to a more reliable sensor than the OEM provides as well as have quick disconnect Plugs and Jacks so the entire cabling system can be removed during engine maintenance. This design applies to the W501 series of turbines. © 2005 Conax Buffalo Technologies
