Welcome to Oakland Catholic High School! Spirituality, Scholarship, Service Today is Wednesday February 4 DAY 4 • Anyone involved in Forensics, the Model UN Club, and the Shakespeare Club, including anyone who is participating in the Shakespeare Monologue and Science Contest should come to the library before school on Thursday morning to get pictures taken for the yearbook. All students should try to arrive by 7:40 • Students doing PJAS science and math projects: • • Please report to the collaboration center at 7:45 AM on THURSDAY for our yearbook photo and to get last minute details for the competition on Saturday. • PJAS science and math students: • Be sure to send BOTH a standard powerpoint presentation AND a PDF saved presentation to the website by Wednesday night. • • ANY QUESTIONS, see Mrs. Benedik in Room G24 today. • Attention Freshman: Freshman Volleyball will begin next Monday, February 9th. Be sure you have a sports physical or recertification form to participate. See Mrs. Bielich or Mrs. Haslett if you have any questions. Global Awareness Club Meeting • There will be a Global Awareness Club meeting Today, Wednesday, February 4th in Mrs. Fratto’s room for those interested in helping to plan the coffeehouse. We will also be taking the club picture. • collect jeans for underprivileged teenagers in the local area • • • • • • new or gently used full length jeans ANY size (larger sizes in greater demand) ANY style (ex. men’s/ women’s, colored, etc.) Unacceptable Donations: pants other than jeans (ex. no khakis, corduroy, shorts/ skirts) • • ask parents, family members, neighbors (anyone really) for jeans spread the word (we’re all in the position to help!) • • SPIRIT POINTS!!!!!! submit photo of you (and your friends) donating jeans for a chance to win a national scholarship- send to Francesca Corna – [email protected] February 3rd – February 12th OAKLAND CATHOLIC STUDENTS • You are cordially invited to join the CCHS Ping Pong club!! Team Play: players draft teams and compete in a league format. Personal training/coaching. Interscholastic play – possible matches against other schools. Entry to our POTTC league play, and new POTTC Junior Play. The POTTC is poised to initiate a Junior Table Tennis Venue. Players under 18 years of age are invited to take advantage of a choice of: 1. Match play 2. Clinic-style training 3. Personal coaching.
