How do you calculate density
Write this on
the top of flap
part!!!
D= Density
M= Mass
V= Volume
Density = mass
volume
How do you calculate density
Ex: An objects has a mass of 30g and volume 15mL
in
out
Density = mass
volume
Density = 30g
= 2g/mL
15mL

How do you calculate the mass of the liquid
Steps:
1. Find the total mass of the empty graduated
cylinder or beaker using the triple beam
balance. Record the mass.
2. Pour the liquid in the graduated cylinder or
beaker and place it on the triple beam
balance. Record the mass.
3. Subtract the mass of the empty graduated
cylinder or beaker from the recorded mass
with the liquid.
Write this
information on the
flap part!!!
How do you calculate the mass of the liquid
Ex: Graduated
cylinder mass 102g
Graduated cylinder
mass with the
liquid 133g
133g
-102g
31g is the mass of the Liquid.
Write this
information in the
inside part!!!
How do you calculate volume of a solid cube?
Formula to calculate
volume of a solid cube
is:
V= L x W x h
Or
Volume = Length x Width x
Height
Write this
information on the
flap part!!!
How do you calculate volume of a solid cube?
Write this
information in the
inside part!!!
Height = 2 cm
Length = 2 cm
V= L x W x h
V= 2cm x 2cm x 2cm
= 8cm

How do you calculate volume of a object using the
Water Displacement Method?
1.
2.
3.
4.
Write this
information on the
flap part!!!
Steps:
Measure the beginning water level
of the graduated cylinder.
Place the object in the graduated
cylinder
Write the new measurement of the
water level.
Subtract your beginning water level
from your ending water level.
