Website Modifications October, 2012

Goals:

Benchmark CASA website against all other US Chapters.

• Make recommendations to modify the website to allow easier navigation and provide necessary value to chapter members.

• Evaluate revenue generation and make recommendations.

• Evaluate possibility of ISPE-CASA website redirected from the ISPE site to a site managed wholly by us or FPMR

Benchmarking – Key Findings

1.

CASA has more sections than most chapters surveyed.

2.

CASA and Delaware Valley have the most unique features.

3.

CASA has more outdated information than most chapters.

4.

New England, Pacific Northwest, New Jersey and Boston are utilizing rotating ads.

Some chapters have unique features that may require very active management, ie Local Career Solutions.

Several websites have unique features that are attractive for adopting.

The Business Plan for International (Tampa) includes goals to move Chapters towards self-reliance over time; website updates are included.

• • • • • • All Chapter Event Calendars uses Tampa format except Boston Contains links to event pages and sometimes registration Boston has events color coded Boston has “hover boxes” with more information and links to registration Boston Calendar does not include International Calendar Inclusion of International Calendar is desired

• • • • A few chapters have a page dedicated with links to online registration pages We already have links on Calendar and homepage but these links are not always obvious Multiple pathways to registration leads to less frustration Include link to flyers

Out-of date photos Bad representation of Chapter as there are several photos of people drinking, eating, etc. Event photos already published in newsletters Questionable value to members and hard to imagine new members would join based on photographs Possibly add photos to other pages in future

• • Boston has testimonials and photos on left hand side of homepage Some chapters have links to common information, FDA, state professional registration, etc. How desirable is this?
