News Flash!
• Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), a Meaningful
Use Stage 2 requirement, was offered for testing for the first time in
collaboration with Health Story Project and Integrating the
Healthcare Enterprise USA (IHE) at the IHE North American
Connectathon 2013.
• Eighteen vendors passed rigorous testing and made significant steps
to achieve interoperability and Meaningful Use Stage 2
requirements.
• When implemented into Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and Health
Information Exchanges (HIEs), HL7’s C-CDA contributes a critical
component of a patient’s medical record including the physician’s
progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical documents.
