Parental involvement is a key component to
increase student achievement, according to
federal guidelines. Therefore, the goal of the
district’s Parental Involvement Program is to
engage and empower 85% of the parents and
community members to become actively
engaged in making decisions that will meet the
needs of all students in the school system.

will establish collaborative action teams across
the district. The teams will be comprised of
parents/guardians and teachers. The group
members will plan and organize training sessions
