Expecting Jesus
按着定命，人人都有一死，死后且
有审判。 28 象这样，基督既然一次
被献，担当了多人的罪，将来要向
那等候他的人第二次显现，并与罪
无关，乃是为拯救他们。
Just as man is destined to die once, and after
that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed
once to take away the sins of many people; and
he will appear a second time, not to bear sin,
but to bring salvation to those who are waiting
for him. – 希伯來書 Hebrews 9:27-28
1. 耶穌的再臨比往日更加接近 - Jesus’
return is nearer today than yesterday
你们可以从无花果树学个比方。当树枝发嫩长叶的时
候，你们就知道夏天近了。 33 这样，你们看见这一切
的事，也该知道人子近了，正在门口了。 34 我实在告
诉你们，这世代还没有过去，这些事都要成就。 35 天
地要废去，我的话却不能废去。
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender
and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so,
when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.
34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until
all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but
my words will never pass away. –馬太福音 Matthew 24:32-35
在你们一切的住处，城邑要变为荒场，丘坛必然凄凉，
使你们的祭坛荒废，将你们的偶像打碎。你们的日像被
砍倒，你们的工作被毁灭。 7 被杀的人必倒在你们中间，
你们就知道我是耶和华。 8 你们分散在各国的时候，我
必在列邦中使你们有剩下脱离刀剑的人。
Wherever you live, the towns will be laid waste and the high places
demolished, so that your altars will be laid waste and devastated, your idols
smashed and ruined, your incense altars broken down, and what you have
made wiped out. 7 Your people will fall slain among you, and you will
know that I am the LORD. 8 “ ‘But I will spare some, for some of you will
escape the sword when you are scattered among the lands and nations. –以

第一位天使吹号，就有雹子与火搀着血丢在地上。地的三分之一和树的三分
之一被烧了，一切的青草也被烧了。 8 第二位天使吹号，就有仿佛火烧着的

空中，并听见它大声说，三位天使要吹那其余的号，你们住在地上的民，祸
哉，祸哉，祸哉。
The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it
was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees
were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. 8 The second angel sounded his
trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of
the sea turned into blood, 9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the
ships were destroyed. 10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a
torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water-- 11 the name of
the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the
waters that had become bitter. 12 The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the
sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned
dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night. 13 As I watched, I
heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the
inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other

The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the
horns of the golden altar that is before God. 14 It said to the sixth angel
who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great
river Euphrates." 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this
very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of
mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million.
I heard their number.– 啟示錄 Revelation 9:13-16
这天国的福音，要传遍天下，对万民作见证，然后末期才来到。
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a
testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. -馬太福音 Matthew

此后，我观看，见有许多的人，没有人能数过来，是从
各国各族各民各方来的，站在宝座和羔羊面前，身穿白
衣，手拿棕树枝。After this I looked and there before me was a great
multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and
language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were
wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. –啟示

的那日。 39 不知不觉洪水来了，把他们全都冲去。人子降临也
要这样。 40 那时，两个人在田里，取去一个，撇下一个。 41 两
个女人推磨。取去一个，撇下一个。 42 所以你们要儆醒，因为
不知道你们的主是哪一天来到。 43 家主若知道几更天有贼来，
就必儆醒，不容人挖透房屋。这是你们所知道的。 44 所以你们
也要预备。因为你们想不到的时候，人子就来了。
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but
only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of
Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and
giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about
what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at
the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the
other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the
other left. 42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will
come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night
the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be
broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour
when you do not expect him.. - –馬太福音 Matthew 24:36-44
论到睡了的人，我们不愿意弟兄们不知道，恐怕你们忧伤，像那
些没有指望的人一样。 14 我们若信耶稣死而复活了，那已经在
耶稣里睡了的人，神也必将他与耶稣一同带来。 15 我们现在照
主的话告诉你们一件事。我们这活着还存留到主降临的人，断不
能在那已经睡了的人之先。 16 因为主必亲自从天降临，有呼叫
的声音，和天使长的声音，又有神的号吹响。那在基督里死了的
人必先复活。 17 以后我们这活着还存留的人，必和他们一同被
提到云里，在空中与主相遇。这样，我们就要和主永远同在。 18
所以你们当用这些话彼此劝慰。
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to
grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and
rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen
asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are
still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those
who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with
a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are
left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage each other with

理一切所有的。 48 倘若那恶仆心里说，我的主人必来
得迟， 49 就动手打他的同伴，又和酒醉的人一同吃喝。

"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put
in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the
proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him
doing so when he returns. 47 I tell you the truth, he will put him in
charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and
says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49 and he then
begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect
him and at an hour he is not aware of. - –馬太福音 Matthew 24:45-50
5:1 弟兄们，论到时候日期，不用写信给你们。 2 因为你们自己明明晓得，主
的日子来到，好像夜间的贼一样。 3 人正说平安稳妥的时候，灾祸忽然临到他
们，如同产难临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝不能逃脱。 4 弟兄们，你们却不在
黑暗里，叫那日子临到你们像贼一样。 5 你们都是光明之子，都是白昼之子，
我们不是属黑夜的，也不是属幽暗的。 6 所以我们不要睡觉，像别人一样，总
要儆醒谨守。 7 因为睡了的人是在夜间睡。醉了的人是在夜间醉。 8 但我们既
然属乎白昼，就应当谨守，把信和爱当作护心镜遮胸。把得救的盼望当作头盔
戴上。 9 因为神不是预定我们受刑，乃是预定我们借着我们主耶稣基督得救。
10 他替我们死，叫我们无论醒着睡着，都与他同活。 11 所以你们该彼此劝慰，
互相建立，正如你们素常所行的。
5:1 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very
well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying,
“Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant
woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day
should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not
belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but
let us be alert and self-controlled. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get
drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting
on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not
appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died
for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore
encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. -帖撒羅尼迦前書

见证人，尚且不得怜恤而死。 29 何况人践踏神的儿子，将那使他成圣之约的血当作平常，又亵慢施
恩的圣灵，你们想，他要受的刑罚该怎样加重呢。 30 因为我们知道谁说，伸冤在我，我必报应。又
说，主要审判他的百姓。 31 落在永生神的手里真是可怕的。 32 你们要追念往日，蒙了光照以后，所
忍受大争战的各样苦难。 33 一面被毁谤，遭患难，成了戏景，叫众人观看。一面陪伴那些受这样苦
难的人。 34 因为你们体恤了那些被捆锁的人，并且你们的家业被人抢去，也甘心忍受，知道自己有
更美长存的家业。 35 所以你们不可丢弃勇敢的心，存这样的心必得大赏赐。 36 你们必须忍耐，使你
们行完了神的旨意，就可以得着所应许的。 37 因为还有一点点时候，那要来的就来，并不迟延。 38
只是义人必因信得生。（义人有古卷作我的义人）他若退后，我心里就不喜欢他。 39 我们却不是退
后入沉沦的那等人，乃是有信心以致灵魂得救的人。And let us consider how we may spur one another
on toward love and good deeds. 25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let
us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. 26 If we deliberately keep on
sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful
expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the
law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do
you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an
unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we
know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people." 31 It is a
dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 32 Remember those earlier days after you had received
the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were
publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so
treated. 34 You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property,
because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35 So do not throw away your
confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God,
you will receive what he has promised. 37 For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will
not delay. 38 But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." 39
But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. –

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you
will receive what he has promised. 37 For in just a very little while, "He
who is coming will come and will not delay. 38 But my righteous one will
live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." 39
But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those
