on-line for colleges to review
Largely multiple choice questions; unlike the
ACT penalizes guessing
Total possible score is 2400 (800 per section)

Subject Tests
One hour content exam, primarily multiple choice
5 areas of subject tests: English, history, math,
science, language
Not required by most colleges
Typically students take 2 exams (1 is usually
math) – a few still require 3
Tests should be taken immediately after course is
completed

Score Reporting
Both the ACT and SAT allow students to pick and
choose which scores to send. However, some
colleges and universities are requiring that
students send scores from ALL tests taken as part
of admission process. BE CAREFUL!
