I’m Trading My Sorrows
I'm trading my sorrow
I'm trading my shame
I'm laying them down for the joy of the Lord
I'm trading my sickness
I'm trading my pain
I'm laying them down for the joy of the Lord
[Chorus:]
And we say yes Lord, yes Lord ,yes, yes Lord!
Yes Lord ,yes Lord, yes, yes Lord!
Yes Lord ,yes Lord, yes, yes, Lord Amen!
I'm pressed but not crushed persecuted not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed
I'm blessed beyond the curse for his promise will endure
And his joy's gonna be my strength
Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the morning
Cambiare Mi Tristeza
Cambiare mi tristeza, Cambiare mi vergüenza
Los entregare, por el gozo de Dios
Cambiare mi dolor y mi enfermedad
Los entregare por el gozo de dios
[Coro:]
¡Si Señor, si, si Señor! ¡Si Señor, si, si Señor!
¡Si Señor si, si Señor Amen!
Estando atribulado, pero nunca derrotado
Y perseguido este
Maldiciones no me afectan
Pues yo se a quien yo voy, Y En su gozo fuerte soy
Aunque triste en la noche yo este
El gozo viene en la mañana

Numbers 13:1
The LORD said to Moses, “Send some men to explore the
land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites.”
Numbers 13:27-28
They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to
which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey!
Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are
powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large.
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
Numbers 13:30
Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said,
“We should go up and take possession of the land, for we
can certainly do it.”
Numbers 13:31-32
But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t
attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” And
they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the
land they had explored.
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
Numbers 13:32-33 They said:
* The land we explored devours those living in it.
* All the people we saw there are of great size.
* We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak
come from the Nephilim).
* We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we
looked the same to them.
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
Numbers 14:2-4 All the Israelites grumbled against
Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them:
* “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!
* Why is the LORD bringing us to this land only to let us
fall by the sword?
* Our wives and children will be taken as plunder.
* Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?”
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
Numbers 14:5-9
Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown in front of the whole
Israelite assembly gathered there.
Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were
among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and
said to the entire Israelite assembly:
•
The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly
good.
•
If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a
land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.
•
Only do not rebel against the LORD.
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
Numbers 14:10
But the whole assembly talked
about stoning them.
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
Numbers 14:20-23
The LORD replied … as surely as I live and as surely as the
glory of the LORD fills the whole earth, not one of those
who saw my glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and
in the wilderness but who disobeyed me and tested me ten
times - not one of them will ever see the land I promised
on oath to their ancestors.
No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it.
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
Numbers 14:29-30
In this wilderness your bodies will fall—every one
of you twenty years old or more who was counted
in the census and who has grumbled against me.
Not one of you will enter the land I swore with
uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son
of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
See Exodus Chapter 17
* Israelites argued with Moses because they had no
water.
* Moses thought the people were going to kill him.
* God tells Moses to strike the rock and make water
come out.
* The place was named Massah and Meribah.
Massah = testing
Meribah = quarreling
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
See Numbers Chapter 20
* The people argue again with Moses because there is
no water (different time and place).
* This time, God tells Moses to SPEAK to the rock and
make water come out.
* Moses strikes the rock instead.
* The waters were named Meribah.
Meribah = quarreling
Commentary on Hebrews 3:7-11
See Deuteronomy Chapter 32:50-52
*There on the mountain that you have climbed you will
die and be gathered to your people, just as your
brother Aaron died.
*This is because both of you broke faith with me in the
presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah
and because you did not uphold my holiness among
the Israelites.
*Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance;
you will not enter the land I am giving to the people
of Israel.
Memory Verse - Hebrews Chapter 3
Hebrews 3:12-13
“See to it, brothers and sisters, that none
of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that
turns away from the living God.
But encourage one another daily, as long
as it is called ‘Today,” so that none of you
may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
