Units (Dimensions)
Almost every number in chemistry is a
physical measurment of something.
Some common fundamental (SI) units:
length (m)
mass (kg)
time (s)
Combined units
acceleration (m/s2 = m·s-2)
density (kg/m3 = kg·m-3)
energy (kg·m2/s2 = kg·m2·s-2)
Every measured quantity must include the
units of measurement.

Dimensional Analysis
Homepage > Extra > Dimensional Analysis
Dimensional analysis is a mathematical technique
which converts one set of units into another set
of units:
velocity: 50 miles/hr = 80.5 km/hr = 22.4 m/s
density: 2.34 g/cm3 = 2340 kg/m3
stoichiometry: 28 g N2 = 34 g NH3
