Introducing The Closed Loop
Total Manure Management Program
Designed for
The Swine Industry
Selective Inc. - Environmental Products and Technologies Corp.
Closed Loop System - Total Manure Management Program
The Closed Loop - Total Manure Management Program represents an
unprecedented, Manure Management Program for dairy and livestock
producers that meets and exceeds all federal, state and local environmental
regulations.
Superior Waste Management Conversion allows the entire manure waste stream
to become valuable by-products. This includes - Clean Methane Energy,
Clean Potable Water and EPA Certified Amendment for Compost or Bedding.
We have the only complete, Closed Loop, liquid/solid waste stream- conversion
process in the world that exceeds CAFO regulations.
This technology will bring your entire livestock facility into Total Compliance
with impending CAFO Regulations. No other company comes close to what
we deliver for a Total Manure Management Program.
Closed Loop System Process
Collected manure of at least 65%- 67% moisture is run through a Primary Sand Separator.
Manure with less than 65% moisture content may need to be re-hydrated into a manure slurry.
Primary Sand Separator utilizes unique tank process with high pump velocity, creating
centrifugal force - settling and removing dirt-sand particles through exit port.
EC-electro conductivity – salts and pH are adjusted with the ESP- Energy Systems Plus,
a Negative Ion Frequency System that suspends mineral and salt compounds in solution.
ESP - is a multi-wave, negative charged, ion frequency system with a high negative ion and
plasma production. The charge can be induced on minerals and salts in any body of water
or water based solution and remains charged for weeks
The basic principle is to bombard the toxic compounds with a continuous flow of negative
ion frequencies. This action will change the polar charge of the compounds or salts, which then
drops them into suspension where they will remain in suspension for weeks.
This charged water prevents minerals from forming toxic compounds in water and soil and
mineral scale in irrigation systems.
Secondary - Bio Solids Separator Process creates
1. Manure Solids 2. Liquid Waste Stream.
Slurry mixtures are fed into a rotating screen at a
designated flow rate determined by the solids content
of the mixture.
Dewatering occurs as the mixture is screened and
augured through the drum. Moisture content of
separated solids can be reduced to as low as 35%.
The BSS is designed to be used as a stand-alone for
existing manure systems or may be incorporated into
any new treatment systems where solid liquid separation
is a part of the process.
Separation of solids from animal waste, that reduces the
nitrogen and phosphorus in the waste slurry.
Patented cone pressure insures consistent moisture
removal.
The BSS is very effective at separating waste
solids that are ideal for composting.
Closed Loop System Process
Liquid waste stream, of up to 10% solids, is pre-heated by a heating coil, then directed to
the CMD – Complete Mix Digester for processing. High Content Methane of up to 70%,
is released to provide clean energy.
Methane Quality: The quality of methane generated by the CMD, high rate system is
typically higher, up to 70%, than gas produced by traditional systems. The higher
rate of digestion allows less time for the other major component of biogas, CO2, to form.
Faster Digestion Times: The Complete Mix Digester
is a “high rate digester”, completing the digestion
process – HRT – Hydraulic Retention Time - in less
time than other digester types, typically in 5 days.
Temperature of the effluent is directly impacted
by the digester temperature. For every 20 degrees
below 95 degrees methane production is cut by 50%.
Covered lagoons seldom get to 95 degrees,
except during the warm, summer months.
During winter months and in cooler regions of
the world, covered lagoon digesters will operate
below ambient temperatures year round.
Closed Loop System Process
Using the above ground, small diameter cell approach, the CMD offers greater modularity
and user flexibility than alternative in-ground systems or, very large complete mix tanks.
Completed CMD tanks are delivered to the user site for fast and simple installation
and can be moved to another location at a later date.
Special features in the CMD tank contribute to the retention of bacteria and thus, enrichment
of the reactor. The vertical column design of the CMD increases the length of the path
of concentrated bacteria through which material must travel.
More bacterial contact means more digestion. Bacteria in the reactor thrive because
of excellent environmental controls and because they are constantly being fed new material.
Methane gas production is directly related to solids destruction. Digesters with
comparable solids destruction levels will produce comparable levels of methane
gas measured in BTU’s.
The actual gas volume produced by a digester will vary somewhat with the concentration
of methane in the gas.
Closed Loop System Process
Manure solids, from the Secondary Sand Separator, and the by-product Residual Solids from
the Anaerobic Digester go the Aerobic Bioreactor to be composted.
Aerobic Bioreactor uses pure oxygen and live microbes to convert manure solids and residual
solids into EPA certified compost within 72 hours at 155-160 degrees steady state temperature.
Composted product is pasteurized, weed seed free and highly stable. All Pathogens and
weed seeds are killed. Off Gassing and Leachate Problems Are Eliminated.
High nutritional “Compost tea”, valuable as a crop fertilizer is collected from this process.
By-product water from the CMD is run through a polymer – flocculant treatment process
that creates clean potable water, suitable for livestock or crop irrigation
