To capitalize on these positive aspects, technology center teachers can create assignments the meet several criteria including: intellectual demand and requiring the use of most essential college- and career-readiness standards; involve students using 21st century skills; assignments that allow students to gain deeper knowledge and skills in their areas of interest and talent; and assignments with consequences.
