Appearance

 It has a blue-gray back-white chin ,throat , and front side.

 It has blue-dark gray flippers.

 It has curved flippers for swimming fast.

habitat

 It lives in Australia’s Southern coasts, including Tasmania, and New Zealand.

 It’s habitat is in a underground burrow, or in the side of a mountain, and might be in a deep rock crevice.

Food and Hunting

 The blue penguin eats, sea horses, crab larvae, small squid, and small shrimp.

 It caches its prey by, stabbing it with it’s beak and swallows it in one gulp!

 Its enemies are, when it is on land its predators are cats, foxes, and dogs . When it’s in water it is the fur seal.

Nesting Behaviors and Raising Young  They start courtship between “May and October”.

 And lay eggs between “June and September”.

 Each pair lays two white glistening eggs.

Interesting Facts

 The blue penguin is the smallest penguin in the world!

 It grows between 30-33 cm.

 Its called the fairy penguin due to its small size.
