Effecting Change within Your Organization

The future will be characterized more by change than by stability.

Team Building Exercise

Well intentioned people are often undone by processes that they have little or no control over.

Teams vs. Committee Committees - Members are grouped together for administrative purposes.

- Members are told what to do.

- Members tend to be parochial in their approach to the problem.

- Expressions of opinions and disagreements may be seen as divisive or disruptive.

Teams vs. Committees Teams - Members feel a sense of ownership because they establish the goals.

- Members work in a climate of trust. Questions are encouraged.

- Members understand personal and team goals are best accomplished with mutual support.

- Conflict is recognized as a normal part of the process and viewed as an opportunity for ideas and creativity.
