students in the essential thinking skills and processes used across subject

 I-Observation is an instructional and leadership
improvement system that collects, manages and
reports data from classroom walkthroughs. Teacher
growth and leadership practices inform
professional development to increase teacher
effectiveness each year.

 8:00-8:45 A.M. Collaboration and Professional
Development occurs daily
 Teachers attend L.E.A.R.N. Academy sessions after school
 Teachers attend training in the summer.

brainstorm ways to effectively
engage parents and families in
meaningful ways.
3.9 The school mentors and supports
all students.
 Extracurricular participation
is monitored to target the
interests and needs of all
students and sponsors act
as advocates to support our
students’ educational
experience.
 New clubs and activities
have been created to appeal
to all interests, ages and
time availability.
3.10 Grading and reporting are based
on standards and consistent across
grade levels.
 Learning objectives, goals,
and data binders are used at
all grade levels
 The English Language Arts
and Social Studies Build are
currently creating a scope
and sequence and universal
assessment practices
3.11 All staff participate in continuous
program of professional learning.
 Professional
development is occurring
all of the time through
Wednesday PD meetings,
Thursday team meetings,
CP 2.0 training, L.E.A.R.N.
academy sessions, and
literacy training through
Purdue.
3.12 The school provides learning
support services to meet the needs
of all students.
 RTI staff provides both direct and indirect support by pulling
small groups out for reading and pushing in to classrooms to
work with small groups for math instruction.
 All resources and strategies are research based, such as
Quick Reads, Reading A-Z and our new Fountas and Pinnell
Leveled Literacy Intervention program.
