The Chouf area- Beit EdDine Palace 1/2 Day tour
Beit Ed-Dine (meaning “the house of faith”) is
the name for a village in the Chouf and for the
beautiful 19th century palace located there.
Built by Emir Bachir Chehab II over a thirty year
period, the Beit Ed-Dine Palace is notable as
the best example of early 19th century
Lebanese architecture. Beit Ed-Dine was also
the site of three palaces built by the Emir for his
three sons, Qassim, Khalil, and Amin, two of
which remain standing today. Price /pers. $40
