 The history of Wales is a history of struggles against invaders from within and out Wales. For example, The romans occupied Britain for 400 years, following the romans came the Saxons, Picts, Vikings and Normans, etc.

All those struggles has left Wales with more castles per square mile than any other country in Westem Europe.

English is the dayly language for most

Welsh people.

Although the 1991 census gave a figure of 18,5 per cent Welsh speakers.

 The land area in just over 8,000 square miles and Wales measures 160 miles long by 60 miles wide. Wales has extensive tracts of high plateaux with mountain ranges deeply dissected by river valleys.

The weather in Wales is described as “temperate”, this means that is not very cold or very hot.

March 1st is celebrated in Wales as St. David ´s day (the pratron saint of Wales). This is the most important day in the Welsh calendar and the day on wich expatriales around the world remember their roots.

In this day Wales people celebrate their culture and identity. St. David was an early crusader for Christianity in Wales and is supposed to have died on March 1st, 889.

His remains were buried is now the cathedral os St. David ´s in Dembrokeshire, west Wales.
