HURLBURT ACCESS: All bowlers that have access to the base, may sponsor another bowler that does not have access without stopping to get a base pass at the Visitor Building on US 98 !!!

TOURNAMENT RULES

The following rules plus USBC, rules will govern all participants in this tournament.

1.

Entrants will use their highest 2012-13 USBC sanctioned league (Yearbook) average (based on 21 or more games). Bowlers with no 12-13 average will use 2013-14 Winter League average as of 1 Jan 2014 based on 21 or more games. All others bowl scratch. 10-pin rule has been waived (Rule 319a(2) does not apply in this tournament).

2. Eligibility: a. Tournament open to all members of Emerald Coast USBC Association who are age 50 on or before 11 Jan 2014. b. Tournament open to all bowlers who are eligible to join a league within the Emerald Coast USBC Association (Association dues of $10.00 must be paid if bowlers are members of other associations).

3. Average verification: a. Bowlers are to read Rule 319a and 319e.

b. Bowlers are responsible for verifying their averages when the entry is processed.

c. All bowlers will be required to initial averages as submitted.

4. The Entrants whose name appears hereon or their authorized replacements hereby agree that the Annual Senior’s Open Division Tournament, its Officers and Agents shall be liable only to the extent of returning entry fees if and when these entrants shall be prevented from bowling any event in the Tournament due to premature termination of the Tournament, brought about by war, national emergency, or causes relating to or resulting from fires, strikes, lockouts, labor difficulties or other cause beyond the control of the Senior’s Open Division Tournament. Prize fund would be paid on a prorated basis of the entrants already bowled at the time of the interruption, and there shall be no further liability of the Annual Senior’s Open Division Tournament.

5. All protests must be made to the Tournament Manager in writing (See USBC rule 329).

6. Handicap will be based on 90% of 220.

7. Extra dates and times will be used if necessary with approval of USBC.

8. Entrants may only bowl one (1) time in each event.

9. LATE ARRIVAL of any player shall begin play and score shall count with the frame then being bowled. All missed frames shall be scored as zero (0). If the partner has not arrived by the time doubles events start, the entrant present may bowl his/her Doubles in order to qualify for all events.

10. Tournament Manager or committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all entries and will decide all questions or disputes arising in the Tournament and their decisions will be final, subject to appeal to USBC.

11. Time preferences given as entries are received. Lanes will be assigned by the computer starting from the center out when entries are received.

12. Five divisions in Singles and All Events: Division A. 70 and older; Division B. 65-69; Division C. 60-64; Division D. 55-59; Division E. 50-54 ONLY ONE DIVISION FOR DOUBLES EVENTS AND DOUBLES PARTNERS MAY BE OF ANY AGE GROUP.

13. One cash prize for each five (5) entries in doubles and singles. One cash prize for each eight (8) entries in all events. Cash prizes are awarded in handicap and scratch divisions and awards to first place in all divisions, handicap and scratch.

DRESS CODE: Proper attire includes collared shirts with sleeves. No cutoffs, tank tops, swimsuits, or hats. No obscene attire. ENTRIES CLOSE SUNDAY 29 DEC 2013.
