TO make the students clear about circular shapes,segment
and sector of circle.
• 2 TO make students capable of finding the area of the sector
and segment of the circle.

area of simple plane such as rectangle, square, triangle and
parallelogram from your earlier classes.

• Example:-1 Find the area of the sector of a circle with radius
6cm and central angle 120º
• Sol. Here r = 6 cm
•
θ =120º
• Therefore area of sector=120x22x6x6/ 360x7=37.71cm2
HOME ASSIGNEMENT
• 1 Find the area of a sector of circle with radius
9cm if angle of sector is 60º
• 2 The length of the minute hand of a clock is
10cm. Find the area swept by the minute hand
in 12 minutes.
