Elder Justice Initiative • $25 million Elder Justice Initiative as proposed in the President’s budget – $13.8 million to enhance APS, including databases and program standards – $11.2 million for research, including screening tools and foundational research Congressional Action Imminent • • • • • Critical time. June 10: Subcommittee markup June 12: Full committee markup Absolutely pivotal. Senate seen as lead as they were with Elder Justice Act. • Would be a first time direct appropriation.
