Crane Operations
• Problem areas – Crane Related Deficiency Reports (CRDR), lift plans
• Accident Rates – 1 accident at Pier 6 since last meeting. Going well.
Keep up the good work.
• When the cable touched the electrical boom, it was determined that
the cable was a part of the crane; therefore, it was interpreted as if the
crane hit the electrical boom.
• When we write on a lift plan that casual or incidental contact will take
place, the crane quality control team must give written approval of the
lift plan. Part of crane accident reporting procedure.
