prayer ministry at a number of our
services, the training of those who are on
our Prayer Ministry Team, and personal
prayer...
Spirit-filled and led by God...
A thank you to all who help with our
Sunday morning and evening services...
and then there’s the
Baptisms, Weddings
and Funerals, and
special services...
Bible- centred...
One way of Communicating our Vision
is with Sermon Series through the year The next will be in June,
focusing on 2 Corinthians:
7 June – What keeps you going in your
Christian life?
14 June – We live by faith, not by sight
21 June – Living authentic lives
28 June – You cannot out-give God!
We are called to make disciples...
Generosity...
We give away 20% of our income to those in
need both locally and internationally:
We give 20% of our Gross income to
selected charities before even considering the
needs of our church. We regard this as a high
priority to help those in need, in line with our
Mission statement:
“Sharing the Love of Christ with All”.
In 2015 we are giving:
Major Awards: The Children’s Society
Minor Awards: Seven minor awards
were also chosen:
Barnabus Fund

comes to speak to us this coming Sunday and
prepares to go out there to work later this
year!
As a local Church we are seeking to be kingdom
–focused; to be ‘salt’ and ‘light’; to act justly,
love mercy and walk humbly with our God; to
be the voice, hands and feet of Jesus to those
around us “Speak up for those who cannot speak for
themselves, for the rights of the destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of
the poor and needy” (Proverbs 31: 8,9)
If you want to get connected to

Team update...
The Risborough Team
of Anglican Churches
consists of 8 Churches.
Last October,
we welcomed Revd. Can. Tony Bundock to
St. John’s Church, Lacey Green.
“When the local Church is working,
there is nothing like it. It is dazzling
in its beauty and powerful in its
simplicity. Lives are transformed
and God’s grace and love drizzles
into countless communities, like a
gradual rain of hope, slowly and
beautifully transforming lives. As
local Churches live out their calling
to be communities of hope focussed
on the truth and presence of God’s
kingdom, they become catalysts for
change and conduits of
transformation.”
Jim Wallis
Closing Prayer (all together):
Father, we give you our church and our
lives afresh this day. Use us for your
glory, and may this Risborough area in
which we live be transformed by the
power of your love and grace. Let your
kingdom come on earth as it is in
heaven. Amen.
