STRATEGY FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION (2015-2019)
By March 2014, the Agency has started the preparation for the Anti-corruption strategy of BiH
2015-2019.
The development process of the new Strategy and Action Plan should be completed by December
2014.
Until now, with the support of the Project, the Agency examined all relevant analysis’s on the
implementation of the Strategy and Action Plan 2009-2014, recommendations of international
organizations (in particular the EU and GRECO), anti-corruption conventions ratified by BH and
Strategy and Action plans for transition countries in the region. In addition, research about the
effects of the implementation of the current Strategy and Action Plan was conducted,
recommendations for the work on the preparation of the new Strategy and Action Plan were
created, analysis of the situation in the fight against corruption in BiH was prepared and a
methodology for the preparation of the new Strategy and Action Plan was developed.
Because of the need to involve local expertise in the new AC Strategy and Action Plan and to
ensure local ownership of domestic institutions over these strategic anticorruption documents, a
working group that will be a professional and consultative body to the Agency in the preparation
process was established which is composed of representatives of 21 institutions from all levels of
government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives of three non-governmental
organizations active in this field.
