KOINONIA was formed in 1983 by the
National Christian Fellowship of Bangladesh
(NCFB) as its’ caring arm to serve the poor
and the marginal people of Bangladesh
irrespective of caste, creed and culture.
KOINONIA
The word KOINONIA is of Greek origin.
Loosely translated into English, it means
“Solidarity”
(fellowship,
togetherness).
KOINONIA is a non-profit, non-political and
Non-Government Organization (NGO).
VISION of KOINONIA
To strengthen the Churches and Partner
Organizations in Development initiative and
Disaster mitigation to achieve the Millennium
Development Goals (MDG), an universally agreed
roadmap towards the halving of key poverty
indicators by 2015.
Our vision is based on the principle of Dr. John
Stott "Independence of the Church is bad, Cooperation with Church is better, Service as an arm
of the Church is best."
MISSION of KOINONIA
The Mission of KOINONIA is to encourage,
empower and equip the Churches and grassroots
